Valby is considered one of the ten official neighbourhoods of the Danish capital. It is located in the southwestern part of the municipality and is famous as home to Carlsberg brewery. The territory of the region comprises around one-tenth of the overall area of Copenhagen and consists of a mix of residential and industrial zones. It is home to over 46 thousand citizens. Valby grew up during the industrialisation of the capital city and currently is a typical urban area between the centre and new neighbourhoods built after the war. The urban development took about three decades from around 1910s to 1930s. And, although nowadays Valby is more residential than industrial, there are several areas suitable for industrial use. It is true that lots of former sites that do not meet the standards of environmental sustainability are now repurposed and rebuilt. However, warehouses and other industrial facilities in Valby still remain sought-after types of premises among renters. Maybe it is because the neighbourhood boasts more manufacturing activities than all the other parts of Copenhagen, or perhaps it is because of the geographical location the district occupies - next to affluent areas of Frederiksberg, Kongens Enghave, etc., but the truth remains the same. Warehouses for rent in Valby are easily accessible from different locations, as the neighbourhood is served by different road arteries and railway lines. Spacious parking lots near the storage facilities cater to the needs of car owners - business proprietors, workers and business visitors.
