According to the international web-portal Business Name Generator, London, with more than 1,300 coworking spaces, is highlighted as the world's best capital to work from for coworkers.
Among 53 global cities, the British metropolis occupies a prestigious first place. Singapore follows closely with the same overall score of 7.1.
The business portal has researched 53 global cities and compiled information on the number of available coworking spaces, monthly desk rent, WiFi speed, search volume data and national happiness.
London´s 1.322 coworking spaces show an average monthly cost per desk of $308 - 35% more expensive than the average cost for all other cities in the top 15 list.
Bangkok cheapest
Over 9 million people live in London, and those who freelance or are self-employed might often require alternative working solutions such as coworking.
On the survey´s top 15, it seems to be most expensive to rent a coworking desk in San Francisco, $359 on average - and cheapest in Bangkok, $152.

Also, the research shows that London has over 1,000 more coworking environments than Paris, the capital with the second-highest number of spaces on offer.
Berlin ranks the third happiest city globally, beaten only by Copenhagen and Amsterdam. Happiness is a valued factor, as happier workers mean happier coworking spaces.
Market comeback
With the pandemic and covid lockdowns left behind, the global coworking market is returning to rapid acceleration. The major players are expanding their portfolios as the demands for flexible office space increase again.
The international giant provider WeWork thus reports that the group's occupancy in the second quarter of 2022 rose to 73% and is back to the level immediately before the covid outbreak in January 2020.

The international data and market analysis group, The Business Research Company, expects in a report to see the global coworking industry grow in 2022 by almost 19% - from 13.6 billion dollars in 2021 to 16.17 billion this year.
Based on a growing number of start-up companies globally, not at least, the international coworking sector is estimated to continue to grow by 17% per annum in the coming years - up to over 30 billion dollars by 2026. ●
